For those new – it’s a deckbuilding roguelike with a gladiator twist. Positioning matters as much as your cards because enemies move and attack in patterns, and you’ve got a shield (front) vs. back system.
Still no “endless mode” or daily challenge leaderboards, which would add legs. But for a $15–20 roguelike, the replayability from 6 difficulty tiers (Bloodlust+) is decent.
Alina of the Arena v1.2.2 is a refined, fair, tactical roguelike. If you liked Slay the Spire but wanted grid-based positioning, this hits. The patch won’t blow your mind, but it shows the devs are still sanding down rough edges.
