If you are working from home, timing is everything. You must be connected to the company VPN before you launch Aspen HYSYS. If you connect after the splash screen appears, the license checkout has already failed. Close HYSYS, connect to VPN, try again.
There is nothing worse than sitting down at your desk, coffee in hand, ready to run a critical distillation simulation or a complex flowsheet, only to be greeted by the dreaded red error message: “Aspen HYSYS License Checkout Failed.”
