A new line appeared:

RUN SIMULATION: Y/N?

The file name was simple, almost boring: cade_simu_v2.3.apk .

His finger, moving on its own, tapped 'Y'.

A small text box appeared: [ANOMALY DETECTED: PROBABILITY 94.2%]

[SUBJECT IDENTIFIED]

His hallway was empty. Just the worn carpet, the beige wall, the fire extinguisher. But the red grid clung to a specific spot near the ceiling, outlining... nothing. A shape the size of a large dog, crouched.

The grid exploded into frantic red polygons, crawling up his own silhouette. A new message appeared, the letters typed one by one as if someone was watching:

Leo lowered the phone. Nothing there. Raised it. The red grid was back, and the shape had moved closer to his door.

Inside were photos he never took. Pictures of tomorrow.

His phone battery read 3%. And from the corner of his eye, he swore he saw the shape from the hallway—the one the red grid had found—now sitting calmly on his sofa, watching him with patient, empty eyes.

Because one of those photos showed him smiling, standing next to a woman he hadn't met yet. And the timestamp was three days from now.
