Korkut Bey, impressed, grants him three days. Ural Bey (the treacherous Çavdar chief) and Vasilius (a Byzantine tekfurs son) wait in the gorge. They have built a barricade of oil-soaked wagons. The plan: ignite it when the Kayı pass through, burning them alive.

(voice low) "Then we do not send supplies. We send a wolf."

The Sultan, weakened by illness and mistrust, orders Ertuğrul’s temporary arrest. (a new character, a cautious noble) is sent to deliver the order. The Test of Loyalty At dawn, Halime Sultan notices Gündoğdu and Selcan arguing. Selcan reveals that Hayme Hatun has already left for Dodurga—alone.

"The traitor’s messengers slipped past the sentries. The Byzantines know our supply route to Hanlı Pazar."

Final scene: stands in a dark chamber, holding a key made of bone. He speaks to a hooded figure. Korkut Bey, impressed, grants him three days

Before they can move, a rider collapses at the camp’s entrance. It’s a wounded alperen from tribe. He gasps: "Uç Bey… Emir Sadettin Köpek has allied with Ural Bey. They’ve seized the mountain pass. Dodurga’s women and children are hostages." The Sultan’s Shadow In the Sultan’s tent (Konya), Sadettin Köpek smiles. He presents a forged letter to the Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad —a letter claiming Ertuğrul has sworn secret fealty to the Mongols.

"If my Sultan commands my chains, I will wear them. But first, let me save Dodurga’s innocents. Then I will walk to Konya barefoot."

Ertuğrul intercepts Korkut Bey before he reaches the camp. Instead of resisting, Ertuğrul kneels. The plan: ignite it when the Kayı pass

The Storm Before the Dawn The episode opens on a moonless night. The Kayı camp is shrouded in an unnatural silence. Ertuğrul Bey stands at the edge of the forest, his hand on his kılıç (sword). Beside him, Turgut Alp and Bamsı Beyrek scan the darkness.

In the next episode: “The Coffin of Bones” This episode would weave political intrigue (Köpek vs. Ertuğrul), tribal honor (Ural’s betrayal), and supernatural-tinged history (the Templar curse) while staying true to the show’s spirit: adalet (justice) before power, and the belief that a lone wolf can move mountains if his pack trusts him.
