At 3:47 AM, the film reached its climax. The sweet seller walked out of the screen’s frame. Then a knock came from inside his laptop speakers. Knock. Knock. Knock. The site vanished the next morning
The film continued. But strange things happened. Every time the sweet seller offered a customer a gulab jamun , Rohan’s own phone gallery would open briefly on screen—photos of his mother, his ex, his old dog. Then back to the film. He told himself it was a glitch.
The film opened with a wide shot of a dusty square. A woman in a mustard-yellow dupatta stirred a giant kadhai of bubbling oil. No dialogue. Just the hiss of frying. Then she looked directly at the camera—at Rohan—and whispered: “Pehle mithai khilaaun, ya seedha maut?”
