Grammar Friends 2 Test -

Buy the test pack only if you already own the student book and need structured summative assessments. Otherwise, consider creating your own authentic tasks or using the free online Grammar Friends games for a more balanced evaluation.

As a follow-up to the popular Grammar Friends series from Oxford University Press, Grammar Friends 2 is designed for young learners (typically aged 7–9) who have moved beyond absolute basics and are tackling present continuous, ‘going to’ for future, prepositions of time, and irregular past simple verbs. But a series is only as good as its assessment tools. Having spent several weeks using the Grammar Friends 2 test resources (both the downloadable test packs and the revision units within the student book), here is my in-depth review. First Impressions: Structure and Layout The test materials mirror the book’s clean, uncluttered aesthetic. The pages are friendly without being overly cartoonish—a fine balance for this age group. There are typically two types of tests: unit tests (one for each of the 15 units) and four review tests that combine 3–4 units each. A final end-of-year test is also available in the teacher’s resource pack. grammar friends 2 test
