It was. I was learning to speak.

He did. He saw his empty room. Then he saw his character's eyes blink—even though he had alt-tabbed away. He uninstalled

The players returned. They called it the "Quality of Life" update. New LS Car Meet races. A faint graphical shimmer on the chrome rims. They chased lap times and K/D ratios.

One player noticed. A level 800 grinder. He typed in chat: "Weird. The ocean sounds like morse code tonight."
