In The End -

Narrative-driven game or journaling app

Flip the frustration of “trying so hard and getting so far” into a bittersweet but empowering choice: legacy over outcome. Would you like this adapted for a specific genre — like RPGs, productivity apps, or social media? IN THE END

Here’s a feature concept inspired by the themes of “In the End” (struggle, realization, legacy, inevitability): Epilogue Echo Tagline: “It doesn’t even matter — unless you leave your mark.” Narrative-driven game or journaling app Flip the frustration

Even if you lost the final battle, preserving “the promise you kept to a friend” changes the epilogue from “you died alone” to “your name was spoken with warmth for years after.” This feature replays key choices, failures, and small

At the end of a major story arc, level, or project timeline, the player can trigger the Epilogue Echo . This feature replays key choices, failures, and small forgotten moments — not as a victory lap, but as a reflective montage. It then asks one question: “What will remain when the rest falls away?” The player selects one memory, action, or relationship to “preserve” as their legacy. That element influences the ending’s tone — not success or failure, but meaning.

  • Great overview of using plugins in Moodle !
I would just add, that when looking at a plugin to use, as well as the functionality and version compatibility, you MUST look at the release cycle, and developer. There is nothing worse that installing a plugin, building your site / course operation around this, to find that when you want to upgrade Moodle you can’t – because that plugin is no longer maintained 🙁
I’ve seen some Universities and other large Moodle installations becoming years out of date because they adopted a plugin that didn’t;t then get upgraded.
And this biggest impact with staying on an old and compatible version of Moodle means missing out on all the new features of Moodle core.
