FIGURE: “I’m not asking.”

The woman looks at her. Not hostile. Not friendly. Curious.

REX: “Waiting for what?”

EVE: “It’s searching for Mark.”

Then—a VOICE. Old. Male. Unmistakable.

Mark spits blood. Smiles—a broken, desperate smile.

EVE (taken aback): “That’s not—it’s more complicated than that.” Invincible Season 2 - Episode 5

CEE-FIVE: “It’s the Viltrumite execution collar. One charge, full neural disassembly. Even a Viltrumite can’t survive it.”

Then, slowly—agonizingly—he pushes himself up. His arms hang useless at his sides. His face is a mask of dried blood and dirt.

Cecil sits alone in the dark. On his screen: a satellite feed of Mark walking across the Thraxan wilderness, small and alone against an alien landscape. FIGURE: “I’m not asking

She closes her fist. The collar drops from the sky, inert, into her palm.

CECIL: “What about the kid?”

NOLAN: “Now go home. Protect your mother. And when they come—don’t make my mistake. Don’t fight alone.” Curious

EVE opens her eyes.

She looks at Eve. Really looks at her.
