This study employed a qualitative approach, consisting of in-depth interviews with 30 mature women (ages 50-75) from diverse backgrounds. Participants were asked to share their experiences and perceptions of competition with peers.

The concept of competition among women is often viewed through the lens of societal expectations and norms. Mature women, in particular, are frequently expected to embody qualities of nurturing, care, and cooperation. However, the existence of competition among mature women cannot be denied. This paper aims to explore the dynamics of mature women's competition, examining the social, psychological, and cultural factors that contribute to this phenomenon.

The findings suggest that mature women's competition is a complex phenomenon, influenced by societal expectations, social comparison, and personal achievements. While some mature women may experience competition as a source of motivation or self-improvement, others may perceive it as a threat to their self-esteem or relationships.

This paper contributes to our understanding of mature women's competition, highlighting the need for further research on this topic. By examining the social, psychological, and cultural factors that shape mature women's experiences, we can better understand the dynamics of competition and its impact on their lives.
