He scanned it with three different antivirus programs. Clean. He air-gapped his PC from the network, just in case. Then, against every instinct a decade in IT had drilled into him, he double-clicked.
He clicked.
He looked back at the screen. Huey was gone. The black void returned. Only one line of text remained:
Leo choked on his cold coffee. "You—you're not real."
Leo's phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number: "They know you downloaded it. Unplug your router in 30 seconds."
