1. The Premise (What You Need to Know) Six years after the original film, Paul Blart (Kevin James) is still a Segway-riding security guard at a New Jersey mall. He’s now a widower (his wife from the first film left him, and she’s written out via a quick joke). He’s heading to Las Vegas with his teenage daughter, Maya (Raini Rodriguez), for a security guard convention.
