Why Albanian? Because why not? Maybe it’s a memory from a trip through the Balkans. Maybe it’s a metaphor for understanding things slightly out of reach. Picture this: an old wooden shed at the end of a garden. Rusty lock. A single bulb hanging from the ceiling. And inside? A small screen, a worn-out chair, and every movie playing with Albanian subtitles – titra shqip .

It doesn’t make perfect sense in English. Or in Albanian. But somehow, it makes perfect sense in my imagination.
