Time Loop Apr 2026

1. What is a Time Loop? A time loop is a narrative device and hypothetical phenomenon where a specific duration of time (usually a day, a few hours, or a single event) repeats endlessly. The subject(s) of the loop—often the protagonist—retains their memories from each previous cycle, while the rest of the world resets to its original state.

Unlike simple time travel (which moves you to a different point on a linear timeline), a time loop traps you inside a circle. The clock strikes midnight, the groundhog emerges from its hole, or the alarm clock blares—and you are right back where you started.

The loop ends not when the clock stops, but when the person inside it finally does.
