Acidity Suspend 1.0 g of Vitamin K3 in 20 mL of water, and boil. Cool, filter, and wash the residue with two 10-mL portions of water. Combine the filtrate and washings, and add phenolphthalein TS. Not more than 1.0 mL of 0.10 N sodium hydroxide is required to produce a pink color.
