welcome aboard

Ships of Hagoth is a digital-first literary magazine featuring creative nonfiction and theoretical essays by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Where other LDS-centric publications often look inward at the LDS tradition, we seek literary works that look outward through the curious, charitable lens of faith.

Malayalam cinema has consistently pushed boundaries, and Operation Java (2021) is a prime example. Directed by Tharun Moorthy, this film takes a sharp, realistic look at cybercrime, police procedure, and the moral gray areas of the digital age. If you’ve heard whispers about an “uncut” or “dual-audio” version floating around on sites like 7StarHD, let’s talk about why this movie deserves your attention — legally.

I can’t promote, link to, or encourage visiting piracy sites like 7StarHD, as they distribute copyrighted content illegally. However, I’d be happy to write a about Operation Java — its plot, cast, why it’s worth watching legally, and where to find it safely.

It looks like you’re asking for a blog post related to the phrase — which seems to reference the Malayalam movie Operation Java (2021) and potentially an uncut or dual-audio version hosted on a site like 7StarHD (a known piracy website).

Here’s a sample blog post you could use: Operation Java (2021): A Refreshing Tech-Noir Thriller You Shouldn’t Miss

Operation Java follows a team of cyber cell officers in Kerala as they investigate a series of online crimes — from phishing and identity theft to darker digital conspiracies. The narrative is split into multiple cases, giving it an episodic yet tightly woven feel. At its heart, the film critiques how technology can be weaponized, while celebrating the persistence of honest officers.

If you enjoy smart, dialogue-driven thrillers like Nayattu or Drishyam , Operation Java will be right up your alley. Skip the piracy sites — the movie’s real magic is in its writing and performances, not in a misleading “uncut dual-audio” label.

We are hoping—for “one must needs hope”—for creative nonfiction, theoretical essays, and craft essays that seek radical new ways to explore and express theological ideas; that are, like Hagoth, “exceedingly curious.”

We favor creative nonfiction that can trace its lineage back to Michel de Montaigne. Whether narrative, analytical, or devotional, these essays lean ruminative, conversational, meandering, impressionistic, and are reluctant to wax didactic.

As for theoretical essays: we welcome work that playfully and charitably explores the wide world of arts & letters—especially works created from differing religious, non-religious, and even irreligious perspectives—through the peculiar lens of a Latter-day Saint.

We read and publish submissions as quickly as possible, and accept simultaneous submissions.
